Job Description
The Regional Planning Board,  a 7-county agency headquartered in Chicago, Illinois seeks an Executive Director to lead an 80 FTE organization with a $14 million annual budget, serving a 17 member Board representing Chicago and Cook, DuPage, Lake, McHenry, Will, Kane and Kendall counties.

This is a new position reporting to the Regional Planning Board and managing the integration of CATS and NIPC into a single planning agency. 

• Strong executive-level maturity and presence with experience working with a Board of Directors and formal Committee system

• Executive experience in a public agency which serves a large region in an urbanized region

• Knowledge of Northeastern Illinois government structure, process and operations as well as familiarity with legislative and regulatory processes of state and federal government agencies

• Experience leading an organization through significant change

• Experience with multimillion dollar annual operating budgets and securing reliable sources of recurring funding and accurately forecasting future financial needs

• Experience with effective program execution, meeting complex requirements and deadlines so that federal transportation dollars can be maximized

Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 +/-, depending upon qualifications and experience; full benefits.
